Tuesdays with Dorie - Cobbler

I was going to follow the recipe this time, I really was... but then I couldn't find any rhubarb in the store this week. So I made the recipe, but with berries instead :)

It was very good, I liked the whole wheat dough, I think it added more texture and crunch than the other cobbler in the book. Also, I put some on the bottom of the ramekins which sopped up the juices nicely.

These single serving sizes were great for breakfast, my husband and I had a good Sunday morning.

Oh, cobbler for breakfast sounds so sinful. But it was healthy, whole wheat and berries. Your mini cobbler looks fantastic!

I like the idea of staging a bit of the topping at the bottom of the ramekin to sop up the fruit juicy goodness. Thanks for sharing!

Single serving was definitely the way to go. I would've enjoyed it for breakfast, too, wish I had thought of that!

What lovely mini-cobblers! I couldn't find rhubarb either--but it came out just fine with cherries and raspberries.
